Alias is the protagonist at the Quirinale with its Meetingframe seating by Alberto Meda

Alias enters the Quirinale with the brand's meetingframe chairs designed by Alberto Meda and, from the magnificent setting of the presidential palace, confirms its standing as one of the excellent expressions of the Made in Italy label. Indeed, in forty years' activity, the company has earned a leading role for itself, thanks to on-going research into materials, form and innovative solutions. Wholeheartedly promoted by the President of the Republic, Sergio Mattarella, and recently inaugurated on 2 June to mark the Republic Day festivities, the project going under the name of Quirinale Contemporaneo has put together a collection of artworks and design icons in a permanent installation to celebrate Italy's concept of beauty and to exhibit the pride of a unique spirit of creativity to a worldwide audience. A narrative with a strong emotive content juxtaposes contemporary elements with the sumptuous furnishings of the Casa degli italiani, while revealing the extraordinary transformations of the aesthetic language. With a structure made of extruded aluminium profile and a seat in PVC-coated polyester mesh, meetingframe is the office chair which perfectly combines form and function, while introducing new standards of wellbeing to the office environment. Like all the products in the frame collection, the  meetingframe project reveals the light, austere and absolutely contemporary design trait which has always defined Alias, and which makes the company's  products timeless. “It is an honour to be part of Quirinale Contemporaneo with the meetingframe chair, chosen as one of the 32 most representative expressions of Italian design. I believe that this prestigious event represents a great tribute to the entire Alias team. The frame collection, in particular, testifies to the value of mutual collaboration in a design project: in fact Alias and Alberto Meda have worked together for 25 years on the grounds of a shared objective to push the limits of creative and manufacturing experimentation in order to create collections destined to change people's everyday habits", declared Andrea Sanguineti, Alias' brand manager & design director.
