SPAGHETTI Collection

Giandomenico Belotti, 1979

A design icon, Giandomenico Belotti’s Spaghetti chair marked the beginning of Alias’ history in 1979. Part of the MoMA in New York and the Triennale Design Museum in Milan, this chair features a tubular steel frame, lacquered or chromed, and a seat and backrest woven in PVC rods, a distinctive element of the entire collection.
SPAGHETTI includes chairs, armchairs, and stools with essential, understated silhouettes, marked by a strong contemporary character, enhanced by leather upholstery that expands its stylistic range. A testament to timeless design, it combines functionality, formal rigour and comfort.

About
SPAGHETTI

Made from 70 metres of PVC rod, the Spaghetti chair embodies the essence of Giandomenico Belotti’s Italian rationalism, combining excellence and innovation. The collection explores the balance between essential lines and innovative materials, transforming weaving into a design language.
Each seat reflects the designer’s vision, respecting Italian craftsmanship while reinterpreting it through an avant-garde approach to structures, forms and materials. In its apparent simplicity, Spaghetti is an icon that has shaped the design history and culture.
