Alias partner of the Courmayeur Design Week-end

Design, icons and innovation at the foot of Mont Blanc from 6 to 9 February 2025

Alias, a well-established Italian design brand, is delighted to participate in the fifth edition of the Courmayeur Design Week-end, an event dedicated to the world of project that connects design and architecture with iconic places and brands in Courmayeur and Mont Blanc. Conceived and organised by Paola Silva Coronel in partnership with Courmayeur Mont Blanc and with the patronage of ADI - Association for Industrial Design, Fondazione Altagamma and the Order of Architects PPC of Valle d'Aosta and the collaboration

of Courmayeur Mont Blanc Funivie and Skyway Monte Bianco, the event takes place at the foot and summit of Mont Blanc and involves architects, designers, historical companies and experts in the field in an original cultural itinerary of exhibitions, installations and debates on the world of design and architecture. The fifth edition of the event celebrates “Direzioni Impreviste” (‘Unexpected Directions’), inviting people to embrace uncertainty and discover the positive value of unpredictability. Alias will set up the stage of the

Skyway Mont Blanc Pavilion theatre with Bigframe chairs, where Alberto Meda, the event's main speaker, will speak during the ‘Talk on Top’ speech. At the same time, the foyer of the Congress Centre will be furnished to welcome Giulio Cappellini, Mario Trimarchi, Giulio Iacchetti and Cino Zucchi. The Longframe chaise lounge by Alberto Meda and the iconic Spaghetti chair by Giandomenico Belotti are the protagonists in the exhibition “Continuiamo ad andare in bianco”, a project conceived by Giulio Cappellini with

Giulio Iacchetti, that from Ostuni to the Courmayeur Sport Center creates a ‘family portrait’ of the most iconic and innovative design, strictly in white. The Spaghetti chair, a historical symbol of design present in Alias collection since 1979, is not only protagonist of the cable car, immortalised in an iconic shot by Alberto Strada, but also among the skiCAD25 awards. An icon of Italian design that demonstrates how the quality of a project goes beyond its mere design and shape.
