Archiproducts Design Awards 2022

We are delighted to announce that the PLETTRO DESK designed by Paolo Rizzatto has received the Archiproducts Design Awards 2022, in the FURNITURE category for its concept and design. First launched in 2016, the annual awards sponsored by Archiproducts bring together key players in the design world to reflect on today’s creative scene. This year they are returning to support and pay tribute to a sector which, despite the challenges of the past two years, is not only bouncing back, but is becoming an effective tool for reinterpreting our age from an increasingly responsible and ecological perspective. 
The Archiproducts Design Awards celebrate global design excellence, rewarding experimental research and innovation, the ability to combine

functionality and beauty, and the intelligent and creative use of materials and forms.
The awards presented in different categories testify to the synergy between designers and brands and their creativity and innovation. The selection of 2022 winners was entrusted to an international jury of experts consisting of architects, designers, influencers, creative directors, style experts, leading media personalities specializing in architecture and design, and the Archiproducts team. 
In its continuous research for innovation, Alias presents plettro desk, a reinterpretation of the traditional table with drawers and designed by Paolo Rizzatto. From a typological point of view this solution creates a storage space in the table top,

which is dedicated to objects in use, whether in a dining room or a home office. Computers, books, notebooks, can be stored there, as well as cutlery and table linens. It is a very interesting option in contemporary life where furnishings, such as the table, are increasingly becoming transversal and the scene of extremely diverse moments and activities. Plettro desk is characterised by a decomposed top that becomes a very rigid beam structure, formed by two thin tops intersected by a series of wooden elements that divide spaces and in which the drawers slide. 
On the top of the models designed for home office there is a useful cable management system. Plettro desk is characterised by an organic, welcoming shape that makes it a perfect writing desk.

The legs that support the table top are true reticular structures, elegant in their design and very effective in their supporting function. At a time of strong transformation in the use of the domestic spaces Alias faces a theme of tradition that becomes contemporary through the plettro collection. Together with Paolo Rizzatto and thanks to a process of careful analysis, Alias succeeds in innovating a product such as the domestic table with drawer from the typological and formal point of view.
