The Italian design company, recognised for its iconic furniture, presents its new digital project that stems from the process of enhancing its identity and strengthening its commercial communication
Alias.design is the new Alias website.
Modern, streamlined, and enhanced with functions and tools, it reflects the poetics of Something Else, the brand’s founding philosophy. Alias’ new digital home is the result of a collaboration with the Bergamo-based OTO Agency, which not only developed the design – based on a graphic project by Studio Temp, which handled the visual aspects that characterise the brand’s identity – but also took care of the user experience and digitalisation strategy. The heart of the project is its strong focus on user-friendly navigation to ensure an intuitive and dynamic experience. The new Alias website offers a perfect mix of technical information and inspiring content, which is already visible from the homepage. From here, the user can easily access all the details
about the brand, the collections, the products, and the designers. Alias products, icons of Italian design, are the core of the brand and as such are also the focus of alias.design. The organised system of filters – by environment and type – enables effective navigation. In just a few clicks, the user can access the full article with all the information. Ample space is dedicated to the brand through stories with an editorial slant that retrace the values, history and expertise that have marked 45 years of Alias. Among the new sections, the Magazine is the window on Alias’s new innovations, events and cultural projects; a place dedicated to storytelling and the pleasure of reading, which follows the user through the browsing process. Inspiration consists of an organised
container of the best items (Furniture on stage), press releases and featured products. The functional Press section has a collection of the latest press kits and a reminder of the latest editorial releases. Designed for all design professionals and enthusiasts, the new Alias website allows the brand to raise its profile and connect with current and potential customers. Together with a new digital marketing strategy, alias.design strengthens its brand identity and is the main means of promoting Alias collections and products. The new Alias site is part of the company’s digital transformation that started in 2023. A necessary challenge in order to remain competitive in the rapidly changing market, this cross-cutting process required planning at a strategic level, implementing digital tools and technologies to make
workflows more efficient. The main benefits include space and time savings, optimisation of resources, security and more effective communication. This multi-year project involves several steps, including process automation and the integration of business tools – both current and newly introduced – through a digital innovation process aimed at spreading a modern corporate culture with more agile and streamlined working models. The activities carried out included the introduction of Thron, a DAM+PIM (Digital Asset Management + Product Information Management) platform that centralises all media and product information in a single repository and facilitates more immediate and timely document sharing. In addition to this software, alias.design will be connected to Showefy, a 3D product configurator that can engage potential customers in the purchasing process and generate better experiences.
