TWIG Collection

Nendo (Oki Sato), 2015

Masterfully combining different materials and production techniques, Studio Nendo signs the TWIG seating project for Alias.
The concept is a chair that presents a base of generous proportions, with aluminium legs inclined in a pleasant and dynamic way; these twigs organically connect to the armrests, available in different shapes and materials. The collection consists of two variants, each created by joining different elements (solid ash wood CNC machined, or plastic material) to the aluminium base.
Two unique and contemporary seats, each with its own identity but strongly integrated into the collection.

About
TWIG

Within the collection, Twig 4 is the most iconic version thanks to the design of the chair's backrest interrupted in a clear, graphic manner as in many of the Japanese designer's projects. With a more traditional form, Twig comfort features a generous backrest with a contemporary and refined cantilever armrest.
The TWIG collection fits into the Alias catalogue in a coherent and natural way, creating a pleasant mix between the sensitivity of the Japanese designer Oki Sato and the technological reinterpretation that Alias makes in its products.
