The excellence of Italian design branded ALIAS will be spotlighted in Oslo during Kontorrama / DOPOMILANO, the event scheduled to open on September 1st dedicated to the latest home furnishing trends presented at the Salone del Mobile in Milan. Creative flair and technological research, ever salient characteristics of the design experience of the company founded in 1979 are recounted through two unique and extraordinary pieces of furniture designed by Paolo Rizzatto: the table plettro and the armchair violon. Inside a former industrial building dating back to the late 1800’s, which hosts the fascinating premises of the Kontorrama showroom, a longstanding partner of Alias on the Scandinavian market, the brand presents the design projects with an essential display concept which reveals the Alias DNA.Violon is an elegant lounge armchair, whose shapes are the result of a long process of synthesis between forms, technologies and materials. The project was born around the idea of using a soft and structural material, hide, revised in a technological key by Alias.Violon shell, structure and seat at the same time, is constructed in such a way that it can be elastically deformed and then return to its original form, enveloping those who sit down "in an embrace". A chair of extraordinary comfort specifically designed for relaxing both at home and in lounge areas.A reinterpretation of the traditional table with drawers, plettro is shown as desk version and it is characterised with an organic, welcoming shape that makes it a perfect writing table.The decomposed top, that becomes a very rigid beam structure, is formed by two thin tops intersected by a series of wooden elements that divide spaces and in which the drawers slide. On the top here is a useful cable management system.Tradition and innovation come together in these projects that demonstrate how the design quality of Alias design has no time and age.
