Alias turns forty and celebrates its story as a protagonist of Italian design by participating at I-MADE (Italian Manufacture, Art and Design Exhibition), the exhibition project curated by Giulio Cappellini which brings together the excellence of Italian manufacturing on the premises of the Saatchi Gallery in Chelsea, London.
From 19 to 22 September, to coincide with the London Design Festival, I-MADE recounts the unique nature of Italian design, manufacturing quality, innovation and creativity through elements produced by some of the most significant companies operating in Italy. Set up with an evident inspirational intent, the exhibition also highlights another aspect of uniqueness which distinguishes design carrying the Made in Italy label: passion.
Alias participates in this project with an ethereal installation created by Andrea Sanguineti, brand manager and design director. A cloud of iconic seats magically floats in space, thanks to pultruded carbon wires. Spaghetti chair by Giandomenico Belotti, bigframe and frame stool by Alberto Meda, laleggera in the chair and stool variant by Riccardo Blumer, all proposed in the total black version. The clean-cut lines and technological research of both projects are placed at the service of stylistic lightness, the concept which has enabled the company to create innovative and timeless furnishing collections.
