Slim Lounge

The British design consultancy PearsonLloyd, have signed the slim seating collection for Alias. This product family is perfectly aligned with the design philosophy of the company, keen to extend its office furniture catalogue, while confirming its specifically focused research within the field of design Made in Italy. Finely drawn and sleek lines, slender profiles and upholstering with soft extended edges which, on the back and lower elements, link up with the backrest presented in various materials: these are the characterizing elements of the entire collection.

The slim family is composed of two different types of chair: slim conference, which lend themselves to various uses, are presented in the version with 4-star base with fixed glides or a 5- star base with castors. And slim lounge, two comfortable chairs ideal for waiting or relaxing.

Slim lounge high is a comfortable self adjusting swivel chair, available with a high backrest and generous seat. The high shell is characterised by lightness and an uninterrupted line design. It’s made of printed polyurethane and metal frame, with back side made of plastic material covered with fabric or leather. The polyurethane foam shell with its internal structure in metal carpentry work for extra comfort. Structure made of die cast aluminium stove enamelled, polished or chromed. Slim lounge high s supported by an 85 cm diameter 4-star base, fitted with auto-return to ensure perfect alignment between seat and base.

Tom Lloyd and Luke Pearson founded PearsonLloyd in 1997 and since then completed a wide range of projects. The studio uses an investigative approach based on research that combines in a balanced manner the creation, efficiency, user needs and ergonomics. Some of their awards received include the Gold DBA Design. Effectiveness award and the distinction of the Royal Designers of Industry. In 2011 they designed the eleven upholstered elements, followed by the side tables (2012) and the high back version (2015) which naturally complete this system. They live and work in London.
