Alias presents “SPAGHETTI CHAIR by Giandomenico Belotti. LIMITED EDITION by Alfredo Häberli”. Alfredo Häberli celebrates the spaghetti chair, the iconic piece designed by Giandomenico Belotti for Alias in 1979.  A Limited Edition of seven pieces will be on display in an itinerant exhibition opening in September 2015.Alias presents “SPAGHETTI CHAIR by Giandomenico Belotti. Mezzo Terra Mezzo Mare

Alias presents the “MEZZOTERRA MEZZOMARE” I Mediterranei – Sedie Love Difference” project The initiative is the result of an original meeting between art and design. A brand new work of art/installation on display: six different seas, painted by Michelangelo Pistoletto and Juan E.Sandoval on 248 “laleggera” chairs, designed for Alias by Riccardo Blumer and Compasso d’Oro in 1998. The chairs, ideally placed on the shoreline, half in the water and half on land, have been hand-painted in different colours, to emphasise the geological and cultural differences of the six seas: Mediterranean Sea, Baltic Sea, Caribbean Sea, China Sea, Black Sea and Red Sea, which come together to symbolise integration between different cultures. Each chair, with an indication of the sea to which it belongs and the signature of Michelangelo Pistoletto  and Juan E. Sandoval on its base, comprises a unique, non-numbered work of art.
