Berlin, 6 June 2019 – Alias takes the lead in contemporary design excellence and wins the 2019 German Brand Award in the EXCELLENT BRANDS category. The brand obtained two recognitions: the “Gold Award” as a brand of excellence in the field of furniture design and a honourable mention as a brand of excellence among product manufacturers. The prestigious recognitions are assigned by the German Brand Institute, an organisation founded by the German Design Council (a major association that since 1953 has given awards to the most original design products, with a special focus on those with a strong innovative content), and by consulting firm GMK Markenberatung, to strengthen brand management as a key success factor for companies competing on the national and international markets. The award is meant to serve as a catalyst in the German Brand sector, by bringing together the most important manufacturers and provide them with an opportunity to engage in a stimulating dialogue.
