On the occasion of IMM Cologne 2018, for its collections of tables, Frametable and Biplane by Alberto Meda and Atlas by Jasper Morrison, Alias uses one of the most classical materials: marble.
This compact and crystalline, noble and compact material has always played a star role in architecture and can add great aesthetic value to any design piece.
With its unique structure, the marble gives a timeless elegance to the tables in the Alias collections, which are proposed in the most classical variant: Carrara White. The marble slabs are processed to obtain thickness values ranging from 10 mm, with bevelled profile, for the Atlas collection tops, to 20 mm, with tapering profile, for Biplane table tops. Frametable is fitted with a supporting plate under the marble slab to enhance the strength of the material.
The result strikes a perfect balance between a traditional material and contemporary design.
